We're a collective of internet people across New York, from New York City to Albany to Elmira to Buffalo. We're working to create a better internet experience in Upstate New York and beyond.
So why Chemung?
The name Chemung comes from the language of the Senecas, meaning Big Horn for the tusks of Wooly Mastodons who roamed the banks of the now present-day Chemung River.
The Chemung area, nestled in the Southern Tier of New York, resembles a big horn. From important internet discoveries to the First Gannett Newspaper, this area has been a significant "horn" in discoveries. The Southern Tier has also been a critical hot bed for companies like IBM, who started in nearby Binghamton.
The friends are working on small internet projects near and far, from Internet Gnomes to keeping internet literacy alive in the Southern Tier. We're also working with local businesses to offer world-class technology services.
We'll keep this page updated as we move towards new projects - if you want to get in touch or if you're interested in working with us, drop us a line via electronic mail to hello at chemung dot net
